Targeted at pre-readers and struggling older readers, Cambugs: Letter Sounds incorporates evidence-based teaching techniques proven to enhance reading skills. Through repetitive exercises, the app ensures that children retain the letter sounds they learn effectively. Additionally, a comprehensive test feature assesses your child's ability to recall letter sounds promptly and confidently - a fundamental skill for proficient reading.

Cambugs: Letter Sounds comprises four core activities:

<li>Sorting: Categorize letter sounds into known and unknown piles to tailor the app to your child's specific learning requirements.</li>
<li>Learning: Introduces new letter sounds while reinforcing previously learned ones through incremental learning techniques.</li>
<li>Fluency Test: Evaluates the speed at which children can articulate each sound and revisits unfamiliar sounds to enhance fluency. Optional Time Challenge feature adds a competitive angle.</li>
<li>Bug Collection: A fun feature where children collect virtual bugs for each new sound learned, accessible at any time.</li>
</ol>

The free version of Cambugs: Letter Sounds accommodates two users, with the option to upgrade to unlimited users through an in-app purchase or by acquiring Cambugs: Letter Sounds Schools, also accessible on the App Store.
